Successful organizations plan for their success. But for many organizations putting together a strategic development plan is intimidating. It can be hard to carve out the time necessary to do such planning; it may be challenging to referee between different organizational interests and factions; and it is all too easy to put together “wish lists”—which may be useful, but are not strategic. This session will offer a clear rationale for development planning and practical steps for creating a plan that has a good chance of working.
