Daniel is an attorney with the Liberty Justice Center, a national public-interest litigation outfit standing up for free speech, workers' rights, and government accountability in courts across the country. Daniel previously served as policy director for Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and chief of staff for Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch. He was also a law clerk for Judge Diane S. Sykes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Before entering public service, he worked at the national headquarters of The Federalist Society nurturing the next generation of legal leaders.

A graduate of Marquette University (B.A., J.D.), Georgetown University (LL.M.), and the University of Missouri (M.P.A.), his legal scholarship has been published by the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal, Georgetown Journal of Law & Public Policy, Marquette Law Review, and Texas Review of Law & Politics, among others.

He is a member of Christ Church Mequon, an Eagle Scout, and a fair-weather runner. He's married to Anna and loves building legos and watching Star Wars with Will (8) and Graham (6).
